Positively Slim offered one lucky Cult Beauty fan the chance to change her life. No more fad diets or punishing regimes… just an intense month of exploration with a like-minded group of women. So, we’ve made it to the final week and it’s now time to go it alone…yeeessshhhk!
Week 4
With the end in sight I’ve been focussing on all the big changes I am making. I realise it is time for me to start working again and have become occupied with that part of my life. The downside of this is that resisting the temptation to have the biscuits offered by recruiters and interviewers or even skipping out on sessions to “prepare for an interview” is decidedly tough.
This has been the hardest week for me. I’m tired and have been tempted to forget about myself and start thinking about everyone else. To try and rectify this, I activated my membership at my local gym and made a concerted effort to make friends in my Pilates and kickboxing classes which gave me something to look forward to after the week was over.
Post Positively Slim
So, now I’m about to go it alone…and it’s rather scary. Positively Slim, I now realise, is not a magic way of making you lose a stone in a month; rather, it’s about preparing you to make the long journey ahead of putting your body, mind and health first. In the end I have realised that you can’t leave it up to someone else to make you look like Beyonce, it is up to you to want to make that change.
I am still a voluptuous girl and will probably never look like Beyonce (!), but I know that I have normalised my stress hormones, have stopped shovelling refined foods in my mouth, and no longer watch TV from my couch but rather from my cross trainer! And maybe, just maybe by next year I will be able to fit into those size 10 jeans again.
Getting serious about sticking to being healthy was about battling my bad habits (I stopped smoking too, woohoo!). Since finishing the programme I go to the gym 3 times a week and try to do more active things like walking or playing a game of rounders at the weekend. Although they are not part of my daily routine anymore, Charlotte and Charlene are still committed to seeing me change physically and mentally - and for the first time ever, I am too. And if I can stick to the plan, trust me, you can too.
The first-time rate for a 4-week course of Positively Slim is £695. This includes all activities with 17 hours of contact time, 2 private individual consultations, email support and a personal file.
Different rates apply for various other consultations. For more information, contact info@positivelyslim.com, or visit www.positivelyslim.com
