Here’s the Posie Gal you picked: Kimberly Walz from Chicago, Illinois!
Her faulty water bra made for one good dating flub, and now Kimberly Walz is the first-ever Benefit Posie Gal. To refresh your memory…Benefit held a nationwide casting call online and in stores for the best/worst dating story. Hundreds of aspiring Posie Gals did kiss (or diss) and tell, but it was Kimberly’s leaky undergarment blunder (watch below) that beat them all.
Kimberly won a trip for two to Hawaii, a year’s worth of Benefit makeup, a subscription to Cosmopolitan magazine, and a feature story on Sephora.com. Read it here >
Congrats, Kim!

Last week I had the pinch-me-I’m-dreaming pleasure of attending Sephora’s Founder’s Day event, which gave me two days of access to brand founders like Jean Ford, Oscar Blandi, and Lena Korres. In between testing out new beauty products and getting makeovers, I picked up a few secrets to share.
FOUNDER: Jean Ford from Benefit Cosmetics
Jean started
Benefit Cosmetics with her twin sister Jane. Everybody knows that. But do you know what Jean’s
best beauty secret is? “Give a girl a compliment. It’ll perk up her whole visage.”
That, and if you don’t have time for anything else: “Wear lipstick! Always. Our most popular lipstick color is
Lady’s Choice. It’s a universal shade that goes with browns, blacks, taupes, even gray.”
She also treated me to a sneak peek of a product so new it hasn’t even launched yet. Love Benefit’s boxed blushes? Then you’re going to go nuts for Coralista. It’s a coral-colored hue she calls, “The candy color.”
Coral-y!
True to Jean’s advice, the theme of Benefit’s lounge was “Fishin’ For Compliments” and included loads of goodies, a fishing pool (where you caught something better than fish: makeup!), cocktails and makeovers.
So many goodie bags, I wish I had more hands
Mermaids! Makeovers! Mojitos!
Nice catch, sailor!

Thanks to the fantastic Ford sisters you can give the gift of hope and a whole lot of glossiness to everyone you’ve ever met.
The new limited edition Peace, Love & Glossiness lip gloss set ($26) features, according to the co., “half dozen of our most coveted colors” in three slim double-ended wands. There’s the light violet and shimmered pretty pink duo and the gilded set of 24 K, a golden shimmer, matched with a bronzed mauve. And since I’ve always got to play favorites—here’s a special shout-out to the rich plum and a sparkly neutral set. It is so perf. for any and every occasion and has a nice scent to boot.
So are you ready to run, not walk to make the world a glossier place? After all, all we are saying…is give peace a chance.

Our pretty peeps down the street at Benefit just sent us a scary-good Halloween surprise. They dressed up as their favorite products and went for a photo shoot at a Sephora store–then sent us the amazing pictures of it! We just had to share. Enjoy the photos and have a boo-tiful Halloween, all!

P.S. Can you name all the products represented and which is your favorite???

I’m in love, and you can tell because I’m blushing. Or are these the rosy cheeks of someone who’s just been a little naughty?
Ladies never tell.
When my fellow Sephora bloggers and I got our brows plucked to perfection by the brilliant Benefit crew, I took advantage of location to play around at the makeup counter. And there it was: What would become my true love, sitting right next to a blush brush.
Thrrrob is the newest in Benefit’s boxed powder collection, and it’s also my new favorite blush. It lightly mimics the natural flush a girl gets when she’s in love…or flirting…or getting caught being naughty…
Thrrrob, I think I love you.
