There isn’t much to say about new range Luxtural other than… red herring. $150 for 1.35 ounces for something called Skin Premonition? There’s no ingredient list, poor usage notes… how the hell do I know I’m not just getting the regular mix of Water, Cetyl Palmitate, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Steareath-100 and Dimethicone (Check the back of your moisturiser. Bet it has these in it.)? You don’t, which means that’s probably what it is… which means you’re probably better off stumping up a fiver for a bottle of Olay. Even worse is the Sophisticated Veil (Really? Do you really think that’s a good name for a beauty product?) at $186 for 1.2 ounces.
The wording on the website is dire and the lack of information when soliciting such a mark up is decidedly shady. Oh, and there is no About Us section nor can you contact anyone (online form is the only option). Not impressed. The only redeeming feature is the bottle design (both Vaishaly and Sarah Chapman use it).

We’ve just heard that Elemis is going to be launching a range of affordable, luxury anti-ageing skin care in January. Interesting. I would love to see a more affordable version of the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream with some more eco-friendly packaging. What do you fancy seeing from them?

Donna Air, Brian Friedman and Hannah Sandling attended the launch along with brand creative director Camille Goutal. Held in the new beautiful boutique on Mount Street, guests were treated to Annick Goutal mini-massage treatments while sampling fragrances and perusing the new lingerie and jewellery collections for sale at the shop. Christmas orientalist flowers adorned the room delicately finished with the iconic gold Annick Goutal butterflies.
They ate: Christmas Orientalist canapes
They drank: Taittinger champagne
They left with: A Christmas Annick Goutal ‘Noel’ candle, Orientalist ‘Musc Nomade’ fragrance.

If you haven’t had the good fortune to try any one of the three amazing, life-changing products Belmacz has created in the last year, you’re missing out. The Oyster Pearl Powder has transformed my complexion into something that, when covered in said powder, is so flawless it looks like it’s in soft focus. Halo makes my skin look iridescent and the Gold Leaf Lipgloss creates the most subtle shimmer on the lips. I love it all.
And now they’re coming out with a new product called Eye Blitz. Is it a shadow? A cream? A primer? A mascara? What!? Needless to say, as soon as it launches we’ll tell you about it.
And that’s another thing. I absolutely adore that they role out new products slooooooowly. No need to unveil 10 new things a quarter.
