BEAUTY BOTTOM LINE: The (faux) bob is back
THE LOOK: It’s a short story, even though most of the models arrived with long, flowing hair. Pita explained that he’s inspired by the choices real women make with their hair, rather than the lengthy, monotonous look most models have been sporting in seasons past. Pita gave all the girls a faux bob with an exaggerated side part. He started by spritzing the hair all over with a volumizing spray, then blow-drying it straight, followed by a light misting of texturizer on the top layers. Next, he separated the hair into two low ponytails, crisscrossed them and twisted them under to created a rolled-under bob that he secured with loads of bobby pins. He finished off the look with a little perfecting hair spray to keep it in place as the girls walked the runway.
