SHOW: Iris Loeffler
MAKEUP: Jeanine Lobell for Stila
MODEL: Lindsey Hoover for One
BEAUTY BOTTOM-LINE: Masculine brows and earthy eyes
THE LOOK: Holy brow! As you can see, Stila’s styling for Iris Loeffler upheld the non-girlie route many shows are sporting this season. “Iris wanted some toughness to the eyes—almost masculine,” says Shawn Peltier for Stila. “This girl is like a chick that lives across the bridge. Her brows break up the femininity of the clothes she wears.” Using a brow brush, they created the look of a furry furrow and pulled some browns down through the inner corners of the eyes to draw the focus in. Equally as intriguing was the thin line of smudge pot applied to the inner rims, which goes to show that a little bit of definition goes a long way. All you Kitten fans will be happy to hear that the shade was used on the eyes and lips for a natural touch of shimmer—proof that everyday shades have their place on the runway, just like big, bold brows.
